Mika Nitta, Psy.D.
This is a Japanese term that my grandfather used to use in a various situations to remind us and himself to stay calm and peaceful.
"An" is represented by the Japanese character "安", which means "ease", while "non" is represented by the character "穏", which means "calm."
Being at ease and calm is a good state of mind for anyone to maintain in daily life, and my goal is to provide a psychotherapy space with an "an-non" state of mind.
What does "an-non" mean?
